From the 20th to the 21st of May 2014, the Transamerica ExpoCenter was the home of the international commerce event: E-show. This offshoot of the well-known convention took place in São Paulo, joining the ranks of many other cities around the world that host this event every year.
E-show is the largest trade show dedicated to E-commerce, covering everything from Online Marketing, Hosting & Cloud Computing, Social Media to Mobile & Digtal Signage, with events held all around the world in cities like Barcelona, Madrid, Lisbon and Sao Paulo. The event has established itself as the number one reference event to bring together leading providers with major e-commerce clients in the industry in one place.
What’s going on with Brazil’s digital commerce?
Brazil’s e-commerce industry grew overall by 12% and was pulling in about 12 billion dollars of revenue in 2012 .
It is expected that during 2013, with this rise in the internet’s commercial activity in Brazil, online commerce already may have increased by 25%, reaching a turnover estimated around 13 billion dollars. Many speculate this is the result of Brazil’s economic growth and the rapid sales acceleration and popularity of smartphones and tablets . E-show is in Sao Paulo for the 3rd time in 2014.
There Xsolla found the latest in technology solutions and services, including innovative strategies for businesses to succeed in the online world. There were also opportunities to network with industry leaders and learn about international trends firsthand, thanks to the conference’s program of high-level keynotes and corresponding activities.
How was E-show Brazil?
There were 6 auditoriums in use for E-show, with more than 200 speakers who discussed their recent success stories. Xsolla even found the 3rd National Forum of Game Commerce in Brazil, provided by ACI games, an association created to represent and regulate the industry and trade of electronic games, and to encourage this culturally in Brazil.
Over the two day show, E-show established itself as the largest fair for digital business in Latin America. The event itself attracted 6600 people, including Xsolla’s own Leonardo Amorim, many of whom were both market professionals and visitors. During the expo, the pavilion also housed more than 70 booths of specialized companies, which closed 25% more business from the previous year, according to a survey of the organizers.
In addition, the award eAwards Braspag, which aims to recognize the major companies providing solutions and services to virtual retailers announced the 2014 winners across 15 categories. Highlights of the winner included Extra.com for “Golden Site”, Waze as “Best App”, and AD dialect as the “Best Digital Agency”.
