Xsolla and Twitch: Benefiting Both Streamers and Viewers

If you haven’t already heard, Xsolla and Twitch expanded buying power to $4.99 channel subscriptions with more subscription options coming in the near future. Now you can pay for your favorite channel subscriptions with everything from Bitcoin to Subway gift cards. Plus, you can now buy channel subscriptions in 1, 3, or 6 month packages!

Streamers: If you stream with Twitch and would like to enable Xsolla’s 600+ International Payment Methods for your viewers to take advantage of, head to the subscriptions tab on your Dashboard and select Accept International Payments. There is no need to create another account on Xsolla or anywhere else; everything is done simply on Twitch.  After opting-in, you’ll be presented with dialog containing the contract amendment. Read through and agree to the terms at the bottom and, voila, Xsolla payment options will be enabled on your channel subscriptions.

Please Note: If you don’t accept the International Payment’s Contract Amendment, your viewers will not be able to pay using their preferred local payment methods or may not even be able to pay at all based on their location so it is highly recommended for any streamer to accept the contract amendment.

On the official Twitch Blog Announcement, many viewers as well as streamers voiced their opinion about the new change.

Yes Dizzy Dizaster, that is EXACTLY what this means. Use your $20 Subway card to get your delicious sandwich, cookie, AND subscribe to a couple of your favorite streamers for the month. Now what part of that doesn’t sound delectable?

I hear that you have added support for Dogecoin payments. Could you give some details? Maybe a blog post? This is a big deal for the dogecoin community and would certainly resonate 🙂
